I want to teach my students how to live this life on earth,To face its struggle and its strife and improve their worth.Not just the lesson in a book or how the rivers flow,But how to choose the proper path wherever they may go.To understand eternal truth and know the right from wrong,And gather all the beauty of a flower and a song.For if I help the world to grow in wisdom and in grace,Then, I shall feel that I have won and I have filled my place.And so I ask my guidance, God, that I may do my part,For character and confidence and happiness of heart.

Eu quero ensinar meus alunos a forma de viver esta vida na Terra, Para enfrentar as suas lutas e melhorar a sua eficácia. Não apenas a lição de um livro ou a forma como correm os rios, Mas como escolher o caminho adequado, onde quer que se vá. Para entender a eterna verdade e saber o certo e o errado, E reunir toda a beleza de uma flor e uma canção. Para que eu possa ajudar o mundo a crescer na sabedoria e na graça, Então, devo sentir que eu tenho ganhado e preenchido o meu lugar. E assim, peço a minha orientação, Deus, que eu possa fazer minha parte, Pelo caráter, confiança e felicidade do coração.
